Bonnie Stewart has had a great career here at Kloeckner Metals. Her journey started in 2012, when she left her role as Director of Administration at MCIC Vermont Inc., to become our Manager of Diversity and Training. Fast forward 7 years later and Bonnie is heading to retirement on April 3, 2020 closing her career as our Sustainability Process Manager.
In her most recent role, Bonnie prepares annual driver review matrices for the Fleet department. Her main function in the Safety department has been to track, research and respond to customer requests from all of our branches. Bonnie has enjoyed working in this role and is thankful for the opportunities she has been given. “I will be forever grateful to John Ganem, Bart Clifford, Warren Daubenspeck, and Rick Gruca – among others for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to work in the Safety Department.”
“I have truly enjoyed the KloecknerCares part of this company.?Giving back to local communities and helping others less fortunate – it’s been wonderful.” Bonnie also is a committee member for our charity arm, KloecknerCares for the past 3 years. Bonnie has played an integral role not only launching the program but introducing Kloeckner to over 25 nonprofit organizations. It won’t be easy to replace her passion and dedication to the community.
ADVICE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS
On the road to retirement, comes years of experience and knowledge. Bonnie’s words of wisdom to the family she leaves behind is to embrace the open door policy and don’t be afraid to ask questions.?As well as stay on top of the ever-changing regulations. Since noted that since the Kloeckner Metals’ Executive team have implemented this policy, communication, problem-solving, and transparency have dramatically improved as well as contributed to her success as an employee.
Bonnie is using?retirement?as a time to globe-trot and embark on life-changing?adventures starting with a move to California. Lastly, we asked Bonnie, “What she will miss the most?” She responded, “I have so many friends here and will miss them all!?However, I don’t think I’ll miss getting up early for a 45-minute commute though!”
Thank you Bonnie for your consistent hard work and dedication. Best wishes on your new chapter in life!
